Gold is our market.
Here is what moves it, live from the feed, and the three ways our clients trade it.

Live
Live from TradingView. Never typed by hand.
Gold never stops. Neither does the desk.
Gold trades from Sydney's Monday morning to New York's Friday close. The map shows our two desks and which of the big trading centres are open right now.
Six things we watch.
Gold has no earnings and no yield, so it is priced almost entirely off what the alternatives pay and how frightened people are. These are the inputs, in the order we look at them.
- 01
Real interest rates
The 10-year inflation-adjusted yield is gold's closest rival — it is what you earn for holding something risk-free that does pay. When it falls, the cost of holding metal falls with it. First number on the screen each morning.
- 02
The US dollar
Gold is quoted in dollars, so a stronger dollar mechanically buys more of it. The inverse relationship holds most of the time and breaks exactly when it matters: in a genuine crisis both can rally together.
- 03
Central-bank demand
Official-sector buying is slow and largely price-insensitive. It will not move a session, but it sets the floor a correction eventually finds. We track reserve reporting rather than trade off it.
- 04
Geopolitical risk
Risk premium enters gold within minutes and usually decays within weeks. The work is separating a headline spike that gets handed back from a repricing that holds.
- 05
Positioning and flows
Futures positioning and ETF holdings tell you who is already in the trade. When longs are crowded, good news is cheap and bad news is expensive — that asymmetry is often the trade.
- 06
Session structure
The Asian range sets the levels, London brings the liquidity, New York brings the data. Where price sits when each desk opens decides where the risk goes on a trade.
How our clients trade it.
Risk warning
Trading gold, forex and other leveraged instruments carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Leverage increases losses as well as gains. You may lose some or all of the capital you use.
MSS Consultancy does not offer a guaranteed rate of return on any option, and past performance is not a guarantee of future results. If you trade on your own or copy trade with your own account, your money is held in your own account at a regulated broker, not by MSS. If you choose copy trade, managed through MSS, you pay MSS under the client agreement.
What is moving gold this week.
Gold trades off American interest rates more than anything else. The releases below are the ones that move it — rate decisions, inflation prints and payrolls — with the market's forecast next to the prior reading. Everything here is a live feed, not our commentary.
Economic calendar, market data and headlines supplied by TradingView. Figures are theirs, not ours, and nothing on this page is a recommendation to trade. Our own read on what it means goes out through the daily analysis.
